If you are working with a client who needs residential addiction or mental health treatment and believe CRTC is the right fit, this page explains how referrals work and what your client can expect.
We make the referral process simple because we know your time is limited and your client's need is urgent.
Call or email our admissions team with the basics of the case. Gernot personally handles admissions calls and can often give you a clinical fit assessment in the first conversation.
We review the case profile including presenting conditions, substances involved, prior treatment history, clinical complexity and the specific needs of the client. We will tell you honestly whether CRTC is the right fit.
Once fit is confirmed, we provide information packages, virtual tours of both centers and direct conversations with the client and family. We understand this transition often needs careful handling.
We coordinate the logistics of arrival including airport transfer. On arrival clients undergo a comprehensive multidisciplinary evaluation before the treatment plan is finalized.
You do not need to have a full clinical package ready before contacting us. A brief overview of the following is sufficient for an initial conversation:
We treat adults 18 and above. We do not treat stand-alone eating disorders as a primary condition and are not the appropriate setting for active psychosis or schizophrenia. For all other presentations please reach out and we will assess fit directly.
We welcome any clinical documentation you are able to share including previous treatment records, psychiatric evaluations, medical history and current medication lists. This helps our clinical team prepare an individualized treatment plan before the client arrives.
We also provide referring professionals with appropriate clinical updates during the client's stay where the client has given consent, and can coordinate with your team on discharge planning where relevant.
We do not treat stand-alone eating disorders as a primary condition and are not the appropriate setting for active psychosis or schizophrenia. Outside of these exclusions we work with a wide range of addiction and co-occurring mental health presentations.
Both centers run on a single clinical model, from medical detox through aftercare.
CRTC operates two residential centers in Costa Rica under a single proprietary methodology: 4 Phases 1 Experience. Medical detox through residential treatment, outpatient and aftercare are all available within the same program.
CRTC is a private pay treatment center. We do not operate as an in-network insurance provider. However we assist clients in navigating out-of-network PPO reimbursement claims by providing supporting documentation and guidance where applicable.
Programs are available at 30, 60, 90 and 120 days, with an average length of stay of 60 to 90 days. All fees are all-inclusive except medications required during detox or treatment. The 30-day relapse guarantee applies to clients who complete the full 120-day program.
We work with professional interventionists who are guiding families toward residential treatment. Clear clinical information, fast admissions response and a program built to handle the complexity that follows a successful intervention.
Referring clinicians need to know their patient will receive serious, evidence-based care and that communication around treatment and discharge will be clear and professional. We take that responsibility seriously.
When an employee needs help, discretion and speed matter. We work with employers and HR professionals to facilitate admissions quickly, confidentially and with minimal disruption.
Gernot takes referral calls personally. If you have a client situation to discuss, call us directly. All conversations are completely confidential.
All referral inquiries are handled with complete confidentiality
