Holistic therapy refers to approaches that treat the whole person rather than focusing exclusively on symptoms or behaviors.
In addiction and mental health treatment this means addressing the physical body, the emotional landscape, the relational world and the spiritual or existential dimensions of a person's experience.
Conventional clinical treatment alone, however excellent, does not always reach the deeper layers where addiction and suffering live. The nervous system holds patterns that talk therapy cannot always access. The body carries wounds that cognitive work alone cannot release. The spirit needs nourishment that medication cannot provide.
At CRTC holistic practices are integrated into the clinical program as a deliberate complement to evidence-based therapies. They are not alternatives to serious treatment. They are part of what makes serious treatment more complete.
