Benzodiazepine addiction treatment · Costa Rica

Benzos are among the most dangerous substances to stop without proper medical care

We are here to help you do it safely.

Benzodiazepine dependency is complex, physically dangerous to withdraw from and deeply misunderstood. Many people became dependent without realizing what was happening. At CRTC we treat the full picture with the medical oversight this dependency genuinely requires.

We understand

We have seen what benzodiazepines do to a person

And how often the dependency started with a legitimate prescription.

Benzodiazepine dependency rarely begins with a choice to become addicted. It begins with anxiety. With insomnia. With a prescription that was intended to help. And over time the body adapts, the dose increases and stopping starts to feel impossible.

Many people arrive at CRTC having tried to stop benzos on their own and found themselves unable to. The physical symptoms of withdrawal are serious and can be dangerous without proper medical management. The psychological symptoms, the anxiety and insomnia that returns with a force that feels unbearable, can make stopping feel impossible.

You are not here because you failed. You are here because you were trying to manage something real and the solution became its own problem. That is one of the most common stories we hear and one of the most important ones to address properly.

How we treat it

We treat the person. Not just the dependency.

Benzodiazepine dependency requires a carefully managed, medically supervised approach from the very first day.

The withdrawal process must be handled with clinical precision. Tapering protocols, medical monitoring and psychiatric support are central to safe detox from benzos.

The root cause

We treat what drove the dependency

Beyond detox, we treat what drove the dependency in the first place. For many people that means addressing the underlying anxiety, trauma, insomnia or emotional dysregulation that made the benzos feel necessary. Without addressing those root causes recovery is far more difficult to sustain.

Built from the inside

Our founder knows this journey personally

CRTC was not built from a business plan. It was built by someone who lived through addiction and recovery himself. Who sat where you are sitting now. Who experienced the gaps, the fragmentation, the programs that almost worked, and who made a promise to himself to build something that actually did.

Medical detox

Safe benzodiazepine detox requires medical expertise. We have it.

This phase takes the time it needs to take. And you are never alone through any of it.

Benzodiazepine withdrawal is one of the most medically dangerous of all substance withdrawals. Unlike many other substances, stopping benzos abruptly without proper medical supervision can cause seizures, severe anxiety, psychosis and other serious complications.

At CRTC our medical detox follows carefully managed tapering protocols overseen by our medical team around the clock. We do not rush this process. We manage it safely, with your comfort and your safety as the priority.

You are not alone in what you are carrying

Benzodiazepine dependency rarely arrives on its own

For most people benzodiazepine dependency began as a way of managing something else. Anxiety that felt unmanageable. Panic attacks. Insomnia so severe it was affecting every part of life. PTSD. Depression.

At CRTC we are equipped to treat the dependency and the underlying conditions simultaneously. Getting off benzos safely is the first step. Addressing what drove the dependency is what makes recovery last.
